About me

Hi, I'm Elijah! Over the past year, I have worked with middle and high school students on HSEE and ACT/SAT test prep in both group and individual settings. I thoroughly enjoy working to fulfill their educational goals, and I look forward to seeing their scores improve over time as a result of our collective dedication. I believe in delving deeply into core concepts to understand the fundamentals of a problem, which I believe is essential to academic growth. Feel free to reach out and schedule a session today!

What I offer

I offer individualized 1:1 support to students going through the college application process. This includes ACT/SAT test prep as well as providing students with the resources to research and select their dream schools. I also provide immediate feedback on college essays and application materials.

My credentials

I graduated from the University of Chicago with a triple major in sociology, music, and media arts. I enjoy explaining the nuances of a text based question, whether it involves reading or math, and I am excited to share this passion with others. Throughout my studies, I achieved the status of National Merit Scholar via my PSAT score, as well as an SAT score of 1580/1600 (a perfect 800 in math). I have also received a perfect score of 5 in classes such as AP Calculus AB, AP US History, and AP Biology.Since graduating, I have worked with K-12 students as a group/individual tutor for a prominent local company and as an after-school instructor at Chicago public schools. I also maintain a perfect 5.0 rating on tutoring sites Wyzant and Varsity Tutors.

I offer rates starting at $80/hr for online test prep and $100/hr for college app counseling. I am willing to tailor sessions to fit each student's individual needs, whether it is SAT/ACT subject prep or editing college essays.
